If you find it hard to see the mouse on your Chromebook, you can increase its size through built-in options.

This is especially useful if you have difficulty seeing smaller details on the screen. Making your pointer more visible can make using your Chromebook easier and more efficient.

Here’s a full walkthrough on how to enlarge the mouse pointer on Chrome OS. The process is simple and doesn’t take much time.

    Quick Instructions

    StepWhat to Do
1Click the time display in the lower-right corner
2Press the gear icon to open the device settings
3From the left panel, click on Accessibility
4Choose Cursor and touchpad from the right side
5Switch on the Show large mouse cursor option
6Move the Cursor size slider to adjust its size

Steps to Make Your Mouse Bigger on Chromebook

    Begin with Opening Settings

Start by clicking the time shown in the lower corner of your screen. A quick menu will appear, just like when you copy and paste on a Chromebook. Tap the gear-shaped icon to move into your device settings.

    Go to the Right Menu

Once you’re inside the settings window, look for Accessibility in the left-hand list.

After selecting it, check the options that show up on the right. Choose the Cursor and touchpad from this area.

Turn On the Large Cursor Feature

Within the Cursor and touchpad section, you’ll find a switch beside Show large mouse cursor.

Click the switch to enable it. Your pointer will immediately increase in size once it’s turned on.

    Fine-Tune the Pointer Size

The cursor becomes larger by default after enabling the switch. If the new size feels too big, you can make it a little smaller.

Use the Adjust cursor size slider to shrink or expand the pointer to your liking.

    Change the Cursor’s Shade

To help the pointer stand out more, you can also select a different color.

Use the dropdown list near Cursor colour to choose a shade that contrasts well with your display background.

    Important Note

In some situations, this feature might not be available. If your Chromebook is managed by someone else, such as your school or workplace, you might be unable to change this setting.

In that case, you’ll need to speak to your administrator or tech support.
