Want to access your old Hotmail account? Microsoft has combined Hotmail with Outlook, but the Hotmail/Outlook login is still the same.

You can still use your “@hotmail.com” email, but it will open in Outlook.com instead of the old Hotmail site.

This guide will help you sign in and check your Hotmail inbox on any device.

    Steps To Old Hotmail Sign-In

    1. Install the Microsoft Outlook app on your phone or visit the Outlook website.
    2. Enter your Hotmail email on the Microsoft sign-in page, type your password, and select “Sign in.”
    3. Your Hotmail account will then load. If you don’t have an account, you can create one.

    Using a Phone or Tablet

Download and install the Outlook app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.

        Open the Outlook App

Tap the Outlook icon, a blue envelope with a white “O.” You can find it on your home screen, in the app list, or by searching

If Outlook opens to the inbox, you’re already signed in.

If Outlook detects an account linked to your device, it will show Account Found. Tap Add Account to continue or Skip to add a different account.

Sign in to Your Hotmail Account

        1. Tap Add Account to go to the Microsoft sign-in page.
        2. Type your Hotmail email address.
        3. Enter your password. If you forgot it, tap Forgot password?
          • If you didn’t add a recovery email, you must confirm using your phone number or answer security questions.
        4. Tap Sign in to open your Hotmail inbox in Outlook.
        5. You may see a prompt about sending diagnostic reports. Choose to accept or decline, then tap Continue to Outlook.

You can now send and read emails from your Hotmail account on your phone or tablet.

        Additional Option

        • To sync Hotmail with iOS, use the Mail app.
        • To log out, tap your profile picture in the top-left corner, then tap the settings (cog) icon. Select your email under Mail Accounts, then choose Delete Account → Delete From This Device or Delete From All Devices.

Using a Computer For Hotmail Sign-In

        Using a Computer

        Go to the Outlook website

        • Open a web browser and visit the Outlook website.
        • Since Hotmail is now part of Microsoft Outlook, the Hotmail website redirects to the Outlook login page.
        • You are already signed in if your inbox is visible.
        • If someone else’s inbox is open, sign out by clicking the profile icon in the top-right corner and selecting Sign Out.

          Enter your email address

          • Type your Hotmail email address in the provided field and click Next.
          • If your Hotmail account has been deleted or disabled and the recovery period has passed, you must create a new Outlook account.

          Enter your password

          • Type your password in the password field.
          • If you forgot your password, reset it before proceeding.

          Click Sign in

          • Click the Sign in button below the password field.
          • If your login details are correct, your inbox will open.

Now, you can access your old Hotmail account through Outlook. Adjust your settings if needed before using Hotmail/Outlook.
