If you just need a basic browser on a large full HD display, the Acer Chromebook Spin 15 on sale for $299 might fit the bill. The hardware is limited but you get a backlit keyboard and an IPS touchscreen.
Acer’s Next press event is scheduled for April 11 where the company is expected to announce new Chromebooks for 2019. Last year’s event saw the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 and four other Chromebooks.
Last month, Acer introduced the Chromebook Spin 15, which it said was the largest convertible Chromebook ever. The company also said device availability was planned for July, but as of today you can order it directly from Acer for $449.99.
In addition to 13-inch Chromebooks, Acer also debuted 15 inch models; the Acer Chromebook Spin 15 is the first convertible Chromebook in its size and will start at $449 in July.
