A more powerful Asus Chromebook Flip C536 / CX5 with Core i5 and 16 GB of memory is coming soon. But you’ll pay quite a bit more for these upgrades over the current $569 model.
Among the latest 11th-gen Intel Core i3 Chromebooks, most use a dual-core CPU. The HP Chromebook X360 14c has a quad-core i3 and is currently less than the competition at $539.99.
It doesn’t appear in the Asus Store yet but folks in the US can now buy the ASUS Chromebook Flip C536: The first 11th-gen Intel powered Chromebook.
Asus held its CES 2021 news back until the final day of the show, announcing a trio of new Chromebooks. Two are large 15.6-inch clamshells, while one is a 14-inch convertible. You can choose between Intel 11th gen chips among two while an AMD Ryzen powers another.
