The 17.3″ Acer Chromebook 317 is now available in an upgraded, higher-end configuration from the base model. For $499, you get a newer quad-core Intel Pentium Silver N6000 CPU and 8 GB of memory.
The newest HP Pro c640 G2 Chromebooks for consumer and enterprise markets are both powered by 11th-gen Intel chips. Pricing begins at $419.
HP has five new rugged Chromebooks for the classroom including two new convertibles and two new clamshells with a choice of Intel or MediaTek inside. Teachers can opt for a larger model to show off at the front of the class.

The HP Chromebook 11a uses an older Celeron and has some chunky bezels around the 11.6-inch display, but a basic Chrome OS browsing machine for $219 is mind-boggling. And it’s already discounted by $50 at Best Buy.
Based on my initial review and a follow up one four months later, I think the Pixelbook Go is worth $649 for most people. Now you can get a refurbished unit for $529.99, making it even more attractive.
HP has noted business workers increased reliance on cloud-based apps and has three new Chromebooks for enterprise workers, including one built to Project Athena specs with optional integrated LTE.

With more people working or taking classes from home, Chromebooks seem hard to come by at retailers. However, the Lenovo Chromebook S340 ships next business day for $249.99, a good price for an entry level clamshell.
