Asus held its CES 2021 news back until the final day of the show, announcing a trio of new Chromebooks. Two are large 15.6-inch clamshells, while one is a 14-inch convertible. You can choose between Intel 11th gen chips among two while an AMD Ryzen powers another.

After the first Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 renders leaked online, a spec sheet with a few hardware details followed. It appears Samsung is cutting the price down to $699 by moving to a QLED panel, removing the fingerprint sensor and going with a 10th-gen Intel Core i3 chipset.
Asus will start to sell its Chromebox 4 with 10th-gen Intel processors and WiFi 6 next month. The base model is $289 for a Celeron; pricing goes up from there based on choice of CPU, memory and storage options, which include faster SSD this time around.
At $409, the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 with 10th-gen Core i3 is a super mid-range choice. Amazon is currently discounting it to $350 as a daily deal making this mid-ranger available near an entry-level price.
As schools have turned to virtual learning, finding a good Chromebook in stock is hard to come by. Amazon has the Lenovo Flex 5 Chromebook available though and I think it’s one of the best values out there.
Work on the first Intel Tiger Lake Chromebooks continues and early benchmarks indicate large performance gains with the 11th-gen CPUs. Plus we’ll see Thunderbolt and USB 4.0 support.
Ah, the lowly Chromebox. It gets no respect! Maybe with the HP Chromebox G3 it will thanks to 10th-gen Intel chips and support for dual 4K displays starting at $254.
Following up on last year’s Latitude Chromebooks for work, the new Dell Latitude 7410 Enterprise Chromebook is available with LTE, fast NVMe storage and up to 21 hours of battery life. Might this, along with Windows 10 in a VM sway some business customers to Chromebook?
The base HP Chromebook X360 14c starts at $499 for a Pentium Gold with 4GB of memory but you can get the $629 model with Core i3 and 8 GB of RAM for $399 through July 19 with this deal.
Announced in May, the HP Pro C640 Chromebook Enterprise is available for customization and orders. This Project Athena Chromebook starts around $555 but you can spend well over $1,100 if you want a Core i7 and 16 GB of RAM.
Asus doesn’t want the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook to have all the fun today: The company made its $999 Asus Chromebook Flip C436 available directly, although the $799 model is likely enough Chromebook for most people.
