Unless you want a widescreen display, stylus support or a fingerprint reader, the $629 Acer Chromebook Spin 713 has to be on your radar. Here’s my review of what I think could be the Chromebook of the year for 2020.

Work on the first Intel Tiger Lake Chromebooks continues and early benchmarks indicate large performance gains with the 11th-gen CPUs. Plus we’ll see Thunderbolt and USB 4.0 support.
Ah, the lowly Chromebox. It gets no respect! Maybe with the HP Chromebox G3 it will thanks to 10th-gen Intel chips and support for dual 4K displays starting at $254.

I’ve been including refurbished and renewed devices in my Chromebook searches lately. Today I found the 4K Lenovo Chromebook Yoga C630 with 8 GB of RAM for $520, or around $230 off from the cost of a new one.
Asus doesn’t want the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook to have all the fun today: The company made its $999 Asus Chromebook Flip C436 available directly, although the $799 model is likely enough Chromebook for most people.
