Browsing: Steam on a Chromebook

For a true PC gaming experience, Chromebooks with integrated GPUs won’t cut it. Code suggests Chromebooks with Nvidia GPUs for Steam gaming are in the works.

ChromeOS 108 brings Steam to more Chromebooks and moves to the beta stage with improvements. The list of supported devices has tripled.

If you’re planning to play Steam titles, the new gaming Chromebooks should work. However, I’d skip the base Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook.

I installed Steam on the Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook to see where it’s at. Now I can see why Steam on a Chromebook is still an alpha.
