Based on my initial review and a follow up one four months later, I think the Pixelbook Go is worth $649 for most people. Now you can get a refurbished unit for $529.99, making it even more attractive.

Still think the base model Pixelbook Go is priced too high at $649? If $584 sounds more like it to you, there’s a quick and easy way to get a 10 percent discount on this excellent clamshell Chromebook.
Considering the internal hardware of the Asus Chromebook C425 is nearly the same as the $649 Pixelbook Go, this limited-time sale for the Asus at $329.99 is a ridiculously good buy.
The Asus Chromebook Flip C434 carries a $569.99 MSRP but a $50 price reduction combined with a “secret” discount on Amazon gets you this all-aluminum 2-in-1 for $399.99.
Two weeks of using the Pixelbook Go shed more light on just who this Chromebook is, and isn’t for. Keep in mind: It’s not a budget Chromebook. Pixelbook Go is a budget Pixelbook.
If your only major knock against the Google Pixel Slate was the high price, you just ran out of excuses to buy one. You can get $250 off all three Pixel Slate models and get an included Pixel Slate Keyboard worth $199.
The reported Pixelbook Go specs and design have leaked, leaving me with serious questions about Google’s strategy here. This is why I said back in June it may not be worth waiting for the next Pixelbook.
Recently posted benchmark scores, combined with a lack of fan vents on the Asus Chromebook Flip C433 strongly suggest this 2-in-1 will be powered by an Intel Core m3 processor; the same one as in the Pixel Slate.
Like the Asus Chromebook Flip C434 but don’t need a 2-in-1? Check the Asus Chromebook C425, which shares many of the same features but gives up tablet mode and a touch screen for $499.
In a move that probably should have happened before the product launch, Google has removed the Celeron-powered Pixel Slate from its store. A $200 discount on the higher-end models combined with Chrome OS updates make the remaining options more attractive.
If you passed on the base model of the Asus Chromebook Flip C434 due to the 4 GB of memory, Amazon is now showing the 8 GB configuration for $599. The extra RAM is well worth the investment if you keep many tabs open in Chrome OS.
