What Is NotebookLM Called Now?
It is now called Gemini Notebook. Google kept it as a standalone research product, and notebooks now sync with the Gemini app.
Google’s help center now sends users to notebook.google.com. The company also said it would bring notebooks into AI Mode in Google Search.
Google said on August 11, 2026 that the Gemini app had passed 1 billion monthly users. That count uses a different definition, so the two figures are not like-for-like.
