Here in the US we’re in the three day holiday weekend and while most folks are relaxing, vacationing or spending time with friends and family, a few minutes on online shopping can save you a bunch on a new Chromebook.

To make it a little easier and quicker (so you can get back to the holiday!), I’ve rounded up a bunch of good deals. I’ve also grouped them by budget and use-case categories to make it even faster.

These are grouped in order by what I’d consider the best bang for the buck based on capabilities and age of each model.

Keep in mind that there’s no “best” device for everyone, so consider your own requirements and budget.

    Entry level under $275

    • $199 HP Chromebook 14 ($269 MSRP): 14-inch 768p touchscreen display, AMD A4-9120C, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage.

Decent sale on an low-end model. I’ll add it, thanks!

The chromebook shown all look very workable ;I just would like to see a physically heavier product featuring more metalic-alloy-based materials. Thank you for the courtesy. Don Colin castell.

The Poin2 has an aluminium shell.

The fact that you included hp and didn’t include Samsung…fail.

          • Kevin C. Tofel on May 26, 2019 5:56 pm

The Samsung devices are getting a little long in the tooth, although they make a good device for sure.

You just described the Acer spin 15.

Thanks for the Post! Just checked the Lenovo C630 and the $689 priced model is actually 128GB RAM.

Also, the HP Chromebook X360 14 is a really good deal at $399. I picked it up when it was first released at $459 and this is the lowest I have seen it priced since then.

      • Kevin C. Tofel on May 25, 2019 6:22 pm

Thanks for catching that inadvertant error on the memory; I just corrected the post. Yup, this is the lowest I’ve seen the X360 and it’s a steal at that price IMO. Cheers!

Would that “$399 HP Chromebook X630 14 ” be good for linux containers? It does seem to have a good amount of RAM and storage for a Chromebook. And at that price, is tempting.

          • Kevin C. Tofel on May 26, 2019 7:25 pm

It’s about the minimum I would want if I planned to use the Linux container daily for a few apps. But yes, it should handle Linux well considering it’s a U-series CPU paired with 8 GB of memory. And I have a typo, it’s the X360. ?

      Any chromeboxes or mini’s available?

    5. Kurt on May 26, 2019 12:17 am

If you look at the actual offerings in your links, NONE of the Entry Level (under $275) machines actually have touchscreens.

      • Kevin C. Tofel on May 26, 2019 5:57 pm

Yup, this is what I get for making lists while recording a podcast at the same time. 🙁 Thanks for pointing it out Kurt – I just updated the post. Cheers!

Best Buy’s site says that the $129 Dell DOESN’T include a touchscreen.

      • Kevin C. Tofel on May 26, 2019 5:58 pm

Yup, inadvertent error on my part; the post is now corrected. Cheers!

    7. Josh Porter on May 26, 2019 11:26 pm

You put the same link for the Dell 11″ as for the Acer 15. Updated link for the Acer?

    8. David Rakowski on May 27, 2019 10:56 am

Throwing in my two cents for the Lenovo C330: touchscreen, IPS, 2 in 1, PLUS a keyboard with actual tactile feedback for $249:
